What you set up for a tutoring service
A tutoring service in Tangle Pro describes what you teach, to whom and where — so students book the right session.
Subjects
Math, English, science, physics, chemistry, programming, languages, piano, violin and other music, and test prep.
Levels and rates
Choose the levels you teach — elementary, middle school, high school, college and adult — and set an hourly rate for each.
Where you teach
At the student’s home, at your place, or online.
Sessions and small groups
Set session lengths and a minimum duration. If you take more than one student at a time, add a fee per extra student.
How students book a session

A student or parent finds you
They look for tutoring near them and see your subjects, levels, rates and reviews.

They book a session
They choose the level, session length, number of students and location, then one of your open slots.

You teach and get paid
Use in-app messages to agree on goals or materials before the session. Payment is captured through Stripe when you confirm it.
Students book you directly
On many tutoring sites, you apply to job posts one by one or pay to contact students, then negotiate a schedule over email.
On Tangle, students book straight into your availability at the rate you set for their level. No lead fees — Tangle’s commission comes out of sessions you’re paid for.
Questions from providers
Can I charge different rates for different levels?
Yes. Each level you teach has its own hourly rate, so college tutoring can be priced differently from elementary.
Can I tutor online?
Yes. Online is one of the location options, alongside the student’s home and your own place.
Can I teach small groups?
Yes. Set the maximum number of students per session and a fee for each additional student.
Do I pay to contact students?
No. Students book you directly. Tangle takes a commission from sessions you’re paid for.
